Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) governs your use of the Contor platform and services (“Service”) provided by Contor, Inc. (“Contor”). This Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service. Violation of this Policy may result in suspension or termination of your access.

1. Permitted Use

The Service is designed for professional use in document analysis, knowledge management, regulatory research, and organizational intelligence. You may use the Service to:

  • Upload and analyze documents relevant to your work
  • Generate structured knowledge representations and analyses
  • Query your knowledge base for research, compliance, and decision-making
  • Export and share outputs generated from your data

2. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to use the Service to:

Harmful or Illegal Content

  • Upload content that violates applicable law or regulation
  • Generate, store, or distribute content that promotes violence, exploitation, or discrimination
  • Process content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others without authorization

System Abuse

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or model weights from the Service
  • Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or other technical restrictions
  • Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service outside of authorized API integrations
  • Intentionally introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code

Misrepresentation

  • Present AI-generated outputs as human-authored professional advice (legal, financial, engineering, or medical) without appropriate disclosure and human review
  • Use the Service to generate content that impersonates individuals or organizations
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when using the Service

Data Misuse

  • Upload data you do not have the right to process
  • Use the Service to build competing products or services
  • Systematically extract or scrape data from the Service for purposes unrelated to your authorized use

Credential Sharing

  • Share account credentials with any person who is not an authorized Named User under your subscription
  • Permit any individual other than a Named User to access the Service using your credentials

3. AI Output Responsibility

The Service uses AI models to process documents and generate analyses. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated outputs may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies
  • You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all outputs before relying on them
  • Outputs constitute decision-support materials only and do not constitute professional advice of any kind
  • You will not use outputs as the sole or primary basis for decisions with significant legal, financial, regulatory, or safety consequences without independent professional review

4. Resource Limits

To ensure fair access for all users, we may impose limits on storage, API calls, processing volume, and concurrent usage. These limits are communicated in your subscription terms. If your usage consistently exceeds your plan’s limits, we will work with you to find an appropriate tier rather than immediately restricting access.

5. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this Policy, please report it to hello@contor.ai. We investigate all reports and take appropriate action.

6. Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and take action including:

  • Warning the account holder
  • Temporarily suspending access
  • Permanently terminating the account
  • Reporting illegal activity to law enforcement

Where possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the violation before taking action. We may act immediately without notice if we reasonably believe the violation poses a risk to the Service, other users, or third parties.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
